GREENFIELD — A Brattleboro, Vt., man is facing heroin trafficking charges after 1,150 packs of the drug were found in his car during a traffic stop.

State police out of the Shelburne barracks say that trooper Daniel Paras first saw a gray Dodge fail to move over for an emergency vehicle while driving north in Deerfield on Interstate 91 on Monday night. He pulled over the car north of exit 26 in Greenfield.

There were four people in a gray Dodge that had failed to move over for an emergency vehicle while headed northbound on Interstate 91. One of them was booked with charges, in a vehicle that contained 1,150 packs of heroin.

Kevin Rose, 44, a passenger in the vehicle, was charged with trafficking heroin and possession of an open container of alcohol.

Rose was sent to the Shelburne barracks, where he was booked. He was then denied bail by the clerk and was sent to Greenfield House of Correction.
