GREENFIELD — A LifeFlight medical helicopter was called to Greenfield Wednesday night after a pedestrian was struck by a car on Bank Row.
The driver of the vehicle — a Toyota Matrix — remained on scene after the crash, which happened around 8:15 p.m. The car’s windshield was heavily damaged.
Police at the scene said they were unable to comment on the extent of the victim’s injuries.
After the helicopter landed at Greenfield Middle School just before 8:45 p.m., the helicopter’s emergency medical crew boarded a MedCare ambulance and drove to Baystate Franklin Medical Center. As of 9 p.m., it was unclear whether the victim was flown to another hospital.
The Greenfield Police and Fire departments and MedCare Ambulance responded to the scene.
