ASHFIELD — Want to run for town office? Ashfield will hold its annual caucus on Tuesday, March 14, at 7 p.m. in the Town Hall for voters to nominate their choices for the following offices.
Listed here are the current incumbents, although it is not yet known if they want to seek re-election. All terms are for three years unless otherwise noted:
Town Moderator (one-year term): Stewart “Buz” Eisenberg.
Tree Warden (one-year term): Thomas Poissant
Selectboard member: Todd Olanyk
Board of Assessors: Donna Sarro
Two Finance Committee members: Carol Liebold, Carl Satterfield.
Board of Health: Duncan Coulter
Constable: John LaBelle
Park Commission: Kyle Taylor
Sewer Commissioner: Thomas Miner Jr.
Planning Board (five-year term): Lauren Preston-Wells
Library Trustee (five-year term): Marcine Eisenberg
Anyone else who wishes to run for office may do so without being nominated by the caucus by taking out nomination papers at Town Clerk Bridget Rodrigue’s office. The filed nomination papers must be signed by at least 20 registered town voters, although Rodrigue recommends getting at least 30 signatures to ensure that at least 20 have valid voter status.
