BERNARDSTON — The Board of Selectmen approved the purchase of a Ford Explorer at a cost of $5,795 for the Highway Department during a meeting last week.
The vehicle will replace a 2003 Ford Expedition with nearly 110,000 miles, which Selectman Stanley Garland described as “not roadworthy.” The old vehicle will be auctioned off as surplus property.
