CONWAY — Pure Yoga and Wellness will host a community “yogathon” in the Field Memorial Library Sunday to raise money for those affected by the recent tornado.
“My heart goes out to all the folks that have suffered loss from this storm,” owner Jody Fontaine said. The event’s intention, Fontaine said, is to “give back to the beautiful community that I have resided in all these (24) years,” and to provide a way for the community to heal in a practical way.
Starting at 9 a.m. and ending at 12:30 p.m., the yogathon will feature a class every 30 minutes with 15-minute intervals.
In addition, there will also be 10 to 15 minute sessions of chair massage and Seimei, which Fontaine described as “a ‘hands off’ Japanese modality that relieves symptoms of pain, trauma, stress and anxiety,” and Reiki.
