LEVERETT — The documentary film about Dakota Native Americans, called “Doctrine of Discovery: Unmasking the Domination Code” will be shown on March 3.
The film is being presented by the Mount Toby Peace & Social Concerns Committee, at 7 p.m., in the Mount Toby Meetinghouse Worship Room, 194 Long Plain Road
The film, according to a press release, weaves oral and written history and traditional Dakota Native American beliefs together to tell the Dakota story left out of textbooks. A Talking Circle facilitated by Maliseet and Mi’kmaq Grandmother Strong Oak Lefebvre will follow the film.
