I was very much disturbed at seeing the Feb. 2 photo of a young person skateboarding over the bench in the Veterans Mall. To me, this shows little respect for those that served our country in times of peace and war.
This area is a sacred place like a cemetery, it is not a playground! A better photo would be of a that young man down on his knees at the mall thanking those who gave him his freedom.
