ATHOL — The Athol Public Library is preparing for the 89th Academy Awards ceremony, slated for Feb. 26, with an “Oscars Party” on Feb. 24.
The library will host a viewing of previous Best Picture winner “Chicago.” There will also be light refreshments, Oscar trivia and a photo booth. Guests are invited to dress “for the red carpet.” The party is scheduled for 6:30 to 9 p.m.
ATHOL — The town wants to remind residents that Athol’s bylaws require property owners abutting a sidewalk to remove snow and ice within 48 hours after any storm.
