DEERFIELD — Residents with dogs can get licenses at the town office. Licenses are available at the town clerk’s office. The deadline is May 1, after that, late fees accumulate.
DEERFIELD — Nomination papers for this year’s annual town election are available now at the town clerk’s office.
The deadline for nominations is March 13, the last day to register to vote is April 4 from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the town’s annual ballot election is May 1.
In order to successfully nominate someone for a position at least 20 signatures from eligible, registered voters must be collected — with more signatures, if possible, in case some are deemed ineligible.
Nominations will be accepted for one Selectboard seat, an assessor, moderator, and two Planning Board members, for three-year terms each.
Also open is an elector under Oliver Smith Will charities to represent the town, a one-year term, and three Tilton Library trustee positions, each for three-year terms.
In addition to town government positions, nominations can be made for one Deerfield School Committee seat, and a position on the Frontier School Committee, each for three-year terms.
Also of note, Deerfield’s annual town meeting will be held April 24 at Frontier Regional School.
