Commerce mental health training
ORANGE — A training session Wednesday for North Quabbin Chamber of Commerce members and their employees focuses on mental health, suicide prevention, substance abuse prevention and how to recognize and assist people who may be encountering issues in these areas.
The free session is scheduled for the Pete’s Tire Barn conference room at 275 East Main St. in Orange from 6 to 7:30 p.m. Wednesday. It is sponsored by Pete’s Tire Barn, Heywood Healthcare, the North Quabbin Chamber of Commerce and the North Quabbin Community Coalition.
Seating is limited to 30. Registration is required.
Athol seeks help with parking meters
ATHOL — People can alert the Athol Parking Division of a broken parking meter by sending an email to parking@townofathol.org.

‘Reading Aloud
for Grownups’
NEW SALEM — The Friends of the New Salem Public Library plans to host the second 2017 “Reading Aloud for Grownups” program on Wednesday at 7 p.m. in the library.
