ERVING — An injured hiker was rescued and transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center on Sunday afternoon.
Area Police and Fire departments responded to a call about an injured hiker around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday. Erving Fire Chief Philip Wonkka said the hiker was rescured around 5 p.m.
Turners Falls, Erving and Greenfield Fire departments responded, as well as the Western Mass Regional Technical Rescue Team.
