The Greenfield Recreation Department will be holding its annual Sleigh Bell Run Saturday at 10 a.m.
The event, part of the 2017 Greenfield Winter Carnival, is a scenic 4-mile run starting on Hope Street and running through the Highland Park area.
Preregister at the Rec Department at Town Hall, online at www.greenfieldrecreation.com or on race day at Hope & Olive Restaurant from 8:45 to 9:30 a.m. Entry fee is $25 per runner, and youths under age 18 are half price.
Volunteers are still needed for the event. Volunteers and the first 75 runners will receive a free 2017 Winter Carnival t-shirt. There will also be free refreshments following the race.

FC Tech tourney
The eight-annual Franklin County Technical School Dodgeball Tournament will be held on March 3 at 6 p.m.
Teams of five will compete in double-elimination matches to be held at the school. Cash prizes will be awarded to the top two teams.
Teams must register by March 1 to be eligible. There is a $30 registration fee per team, which is due at the time of registration.

The public is invited to attend the event. General admission is just $2. All proceeds from the tournament will benefit the FCTS Athletic Programs.
This will be the final year of the tournament run by Franklin Tech.
Tumbling Tigers results
The Greenfield YMCA Tumbling Tigers gymnastics team won two team categories during an Invitational meet with the Westfield, Clark Memorial and Keene (N.H.) Ys over the weekend in Greenfield.
Greenfield won Level 7 with a team score of 70.1, to Keene’s 68.9. Kendall Fox won the balance beam (9.1) and placed second on vaulting (9.1) and all-around (34.5), Zenani Himlin-Mayekiso captured the all-around (34.9), took placed second on uneven bars (8.7) and beam (8.8), and was third on floor exercise, and Allyson Unaitis placed third on bars and beam.
Level 6 won with 67.85 points, with Clark finishing second at 31.6.
Lanie Bowse won beam (9.3), placed second on floor (8.5), third on vault, all-around. Hannah Phillips placed second on vault (8.8), bars and all-around (33.95), third on floor. Addie Broady placed third on bars.
Level 2, finished second with 103.9, while Clark took top honors at 107.7.
In age 7, Chloe Bigelow was best in the vault (8.6) and tied for third on beam, Addison Lively was runner-up on beam, floor and all-around (31.0), and took third on bars, Kesenia Rivera was first on floor (8.75), third in all-around and tied for third on vault and beam, Olivia Wolbach won the beam, tied for first all-around (32.1), placed second on vault (8.5) and bars, and wound up third on floor.
In age 8, Lydia MacMunn-Seaman won the bars (8.5) and took second on vault (9.1), beam (8.7), floor (8.75) and all-around (35.05), Seneca Smith won beam (9.0), floor (8.9) and all-around (35.10), and claimed third on vault and bars.
In age 9, Sandra Johnson was tops in the vault (8.5), tied for second with teammate Kiaya Lizak on beam and placed third all-around, Lizak won the bars and finished second on vault, floor and all-around (32.85), while Maeve Noble won beam (8.7), floor (8.85) and all-around (32.85), was second on bars and third on vault.
Level 4 placed third with 64.9 points, behind Clark (69.7) and Keene (66.05). In ages 8-10, Kiarah Pinkham finished second on beam (8.9), floor (8.8), all-around (32.8), and Lindsey Taylor placed second on bars.
In Level 1, Greenfield’s team total of 97.00 trailed Clark (109.05) and Keene (104.95). In age 6, Sally Rader won vault, took second on floor and placed third on bars, beam and all-around, and Charlie Bishop placed second on vault, bars, beam and all-around, and third on floor.
In age 7, Vallerie Bazemore won beam, and was second on vault, bars, floor (8.7) and all-around (31.7), and Lennon Phillips placed second on beam and third on vault, bars, floor and all-around.
In XCEL Platinum, Emily Braverman claimed wins in the bars (8.8), floor (8.55) and all-around (34.55), and finished second on vault (8.7) and beam (8.5), Karma Phillips won vault (8.8) and beam (8.7), and was second on bars (8.6), floor, all-around (34.50). Katie Adams placed third all-around.
In XCEL Gold, Grayson Bowse won vault (9.2), bars (9.1) and floor (9.15), and was second all-around (35.75), Bre Garey placed second on bars (8.6) and Josie Cloutier took third on beam.
In XCEL Silver, age 10, Safiya Yaseen was first in bars, floor and all-around (32.7), and runner-up beam (8.2), Margarette Howland won the beam (8.7) and placed second on vault and all-around (32.6), and Ariana Miller won the vault (8.6) and placed second on floor.
In XCEL Silver, age 11, Cassie Cloutier won bars (8.8), beam (9.2) and all-around (35.40), and took second on vault (8.6) and floor (8.8), Aiden Wall won the floor (9.15), finished second on beam (8.9) and all-around (34.75), and tied for third on bars with teammate Sophia Wolbach, Haylee Tuttle won vault (8.8), placed second on bars (8.7) and third all-around, and Wolbach was third on beam and floor.
XCEL Silver, age 12, Clara Fritz swept the vault (9.3), bars (9.4), beam (8.7), floor (8.7) and all-around (36.10), Soriya Noeun placed second on vault, bars (8.9), floor and all-around (33.15), and Phoebe Broussard tied with teammate Abby Shaw for second on beam.
In Level 3, age 9, Laura Stebbins won vault (9.1), and garnered seconds in bars, beam, floor and all-around (32.5). In age 10, Umi Burns tied for first on vault (9.3), and was second all-around (32.6), third on beam and floor.
Corrections/clarification
Corriann Delaney of Frontier Regional School finished fourth overall and Ashley LaCross came in fifth overall PVIAC Alpine Skie Leaguer meet Monday at Berkshire East Ski Resort in Charlemont.
Their official overall finishes were one spot higher than results used in Tuesday’s edition of The Recorder.
• On the boys’ side, Frontier’s Billy Prunier tied for 44th overall, rather than solo 44th.
GML Bingo Night
Greenfield Minor League Baseball will hold a Bingo Night Saturday starting at 7 p.m. at the Greenfield Elks Lodge.
The lodge will open its doors at 6 p.m. for the benefit event, which is open to ages 18 and up.
Raffles will also be held throughout the evening. All proceeds will benefit GML.
