Franklin County Technical School played its most complete game of the season and downed Gateway Regional High School, 62-36, in a Tri-County League boys’ basketball contest Thursday night in Turners Falls.
Colin Gould led the Eagles (4-5 overall, 3-3 TCL) with a game-high 35 points, but head coach Matt Llewelyn knows that wasn’t the reason his team was able to coast to the easy win.

Joel Farrick dumped in 14 points and Jared Bergmann totaled 7 for Franklin Tech, which bolted out to a 20-8 lead and was never seriously threatened the rest of the way.
“This was definitely our best team game of the year,” said Llewelyn. “We played good overall defense, finally, which we needed. We played 32 minutes of basketball.”
