After a teenager from Orange nearly died after accidentally shooting himself during a hunting trip, I would hope that making sentient animals endure the same fear and excruciating pain he went through would be the last thing he would want to do.

Since the young hunter now knows how it feels to suddenly be struck in the chest by a bullet, struggle to survive, and fear for his life; he has a unique perspective on what hunted animals experience. Surely, he can understand that animals love their family members, just as he loves his family, and don’t want to watch them be gunned down. There are plenty of ways for this teen and his family to enjoy the outdoors without causing animals to suffer as he did.
