ATHOL — Brush burning permits are now available online.

Brush burning is allowed from Jan. 15 to May 1 only. You must apply for a new permit each year. A copy of the Athol Fire Department burning rules is available online or for pickup at the fire station. Once a permit is obtained, you must call the Fire Department each day you wish to burn, between 8:30 a.m and 11:30 a.m. There is no fee for burning permits. You must have your printed permit with you at time of burning.
