You recently printed a letter from a reader named Cathy Gouch in Greenfield who said she “thinks less of Trump voters because they listened as he ratcheted up rhetoric of racism and bigotry and still backed him.”
I’m curious, did she continue to support Obama after it came out he sat in Jeremiah Wright’s church for two decades listening to his blatant hate speech and racism? Did she continue to support Obama after he associated with and invited Al Sharpton to the White House hundreds of times during his eight years in office?
The double standards never end. Republicans seem to always be held to a higher standard for some reason.
