Greenfield, Dec. 7

6:24 p.m. — Walk-in female found a wallet by the hospital, and turned it in; owner was identified, and contacted, but said he is home and has no way to get to the police station; he was advised an officer would drop it off, so property was returned to owner.

9:05 p.m. — Disturbance reported from Iris Court where the caller reports neighbors are fighting and it sounds like things are being thrown against the wall; the caller advises they have been fighting since 1 a.m. today.

10:01 p.m. — Fire reported in a structure on Pleasant Street, fire department and officers dispatched; Engine 3 unit reporting nothing showing from three sides, and they are investigating, found to be a fire on a stove, but fire is out at this time, and checking for extension; both units available on scene, just awaiting for the landlord arrival in 10 to 15 minutes.

10:23 p.m. — Disturbance from Iris Court where the caller says the neighbors are fighting again; officers spoke to the two involved and both stated they are arguing over the male using the phone to try to call his parents so he could spend the night there; both to be summons for disturbing the peace, and the male left for the evening.

Greenfield, Dec. 8

7:09 a.m. — Accident reported at corner of Mohawk Trail and River Street at Dunkin’ Donuts, but no injuries reported. Services rendered.

8:19 a.m. — Officers on Alden Street to serve a warrant; arrested was Erikah Marie Carter, 28, of Alden Street, Greenfield, on the warrant.

9:12 a.m. — Accident reported at Dunkin Donuts on Federal Street where one vehicle scraped a vehicle next to as it was backing out; minor damage but no injuries involved; officer assisted with information exchange.

9:55 a.m. — Shoplifting, reported at Dollar General on Federal Street; the officer sent found the suspect waiting for him outside the store; she had replaced the items on the shelves, but more items were located in the parking lot; the 23-year-old female from Turners Falls will be summoned for shoplifting.

Orange, Dec. 8

4:55 p.m. — Young male caller from East River Street says someone is in his house, and he is hiding in the closet; the caller states it could be his brother, but he is unsure; on officer’s arrival it was determined it was, in fact, his older brother, and they are all set.

7:57 p.m. — Shelburne Control reports a reporting person would like it on record that someone stole a safe out of his bedroom that contained his prescriptions; he just wanted it logged so he can contact his doctor, and get a refill of the prescriptions.

Greenfield, Dec. 9

9:03 a.m. — Report of a gray 2016 Ford Focus that has been repossessed on Barton Road.

1:54 p.m. – Suspicious activity reported at the temporary courthouse on Munson Street where the caller says someone drained their car battery; the reporting person states that while they were at the courthouse testifying at a trial, their car was entered and the center console was gone through; the lights were left on, so the battery was drained; officer sent, and investigating.

2:32 p.m. – Disturbance reported at Green Fields Market on Main Street where a female is yelling at customers and asking people for drugs there. Officer sent, and services rendered.

3:21 p. m. — Accident at Ames and School streets where there was a minor two-vehicle crash, but no injuries reported; officer sent; and one vehicle pulled out of traffic; a blue Mazda and a black GMC were involved.

3:46 p.m. – A minor accident occurred at the Interstate 91 rotary between a green 2005 Cadillac CTS and a green 2009 Toyota Yaris. All parties complained of neck pain.

4:35 p.m. – A minor accident without injuries occurred at the intersection of Federal and Pierce streets between a black 2008 Honda Civic and a 2004 Ford.

5:09 p.m. – Accident at Silver and High streets, two vehicles involved; officer advises fluids, and requesting the fire department; officer then reports an airbag deployment; Medcare contacted, and the fire department was updated; two tows were needed, both flat beds requested; no injuries reported on the log.

5:29 p.m. — Accident reported at Federal and Stanley streets, two vehicles both Toyotas, minor damage found, information exchanged.

6:14 p.m. – A caller at Cumberland Farms, at 317 Federal St., reported a Hispanic man wearing a dark colored jacket who was carrying multiple bags and offering to sell him items. The man claimed he was trying to get money to get back to Brooklyn, N.Y. Sergeant James Rode checked with the Speedway, CVS and Walgreens for possible shoplifting incidents. Rode found the series of items the reporting party described had come from Walgreens and had not been paid for. Police arrested Jesse Soto, 21, of Greenfield for shoplifting by asportation.

10:12 p.m. — Disturbance reported at Blessed Sacrament Church on Federal Street where the reporting person says she got a text from a person at the chapel who is complaining about a male person, who is known, and is acting strangely, and giving the female a hard time; the caller said they are semi-familiar with the male known as JH, and believes he has mental health issues; the involved male left prior to officers’ arrival.

Greenfield, Dec. 10

1:17 a.m. – A caller at Main Street Bar & Grille, at 94 Main St., reported her purse was stolen out of her unlocked gray 2008 Chevrolet Cobalt, which was parked down the street. The police found nothing in nearby trash cans or dumpsters.

11:41 a.m. – A minor accident without injuries occurred at the intersection of Federal and Pierce streets between a green 2000 Chevrolet Prizm and a green 2002 Subaru Legacy.
