On Sunday and next Friday, The United Arc in partnership with the Elks Lodges of Greenfield and Athol-Orange will hold holiday parties.

They will take place at the Elks Lodges: 3-5 Church St., Greenfield, and 92 New Athol Road, Orange.

The United Arc provides services to people with intellectual and developmental disabilities in Franklin, Hampshire and Hampden counties and the North Quabbin area. The organization provides services for families with a child who has disabilities, for young people transitioning to adulthood, for adults with disabilities, and for parents with disabilities who benefit from support with parenting.

For the past 30 years, The Elks Lodges of Greenfield and Athol-Orange have partnered with The United Arc to put on these parties.

The Benevolent and Protective Order of the Elks is one of the oldest and largest fraternal organizations in the country. Since its inception in 1868, the Order of the Elks has grown to include nearly 1.2 million men and women in almost 2,200 communities. An important part of the Elks organization is creating a quiet network of good deeds such as hosting holiday parties.
