Daniel S. Siano, 22, of Sugarloaf Street, South Deerfield. Admitted to sufficient facts for operating under the influence of liquor, but continued without a finding until 11/17/17, with 45 days mandatory loss of license, plus OUI fee of $250, OUI victims assessment of $50, head-injury assessment of $250, and victim-witness assessment of $50. Must take and complete the driver alcohol education program, and pay the fee of $707.76. Found not responsible for marked lanes violation. Must pay probation supervision fee of $65 per month.

Bruce W. Cowie, 47, of Tunnel Road, Rowe. Pleaded guilty to indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over, in Rowe by state police, sentenced to one-year in the house of correction, direct, with credit for time held. Pleaded guilty to second charge of indecent assault and battery on a person 14 or over, and a charge of committing an unnatural act with a child under 16, placed on probation until 11/18/20 with victim-witness assessment of $90, with list of conditions that includes the defendant shall have no unsupervised direct or indirect contact with any child under the age of 18 in any manner, including physical contact, verbal contact, or contact by electronic means, and plus conditions about where the defendant shall or shall not reside, or where he will be employed or volunteer where he might have contact with a child under 18, and after release from the house of correction, the defendant must stay away from and have no contact with a named person, direct or indirect with the victim, and must comply with wearing a GPS system. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150, with $350 counsel contribution. Must pay probation supervision fee of $65 per month. Charge of statutory, aggravated rape of a child, was not prosecuted, as, according to a statement made by a counsel from the district attorney’s office, (it was) in the interest of justice.

Porfirio Diaz, 58, of Eleventh Street, Turners Falls. Pleaded innocent to shoplifting, third offense, released on personal recognizance, continued to 1/5/17 for pretrial conference. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150.
