Erving looking for committee members

ERVING — Erving is seeking townspeople to join two ad hoc committees: Energy Committee and Open Space Committee.

The Energy Committee will be made up of five members and will look into the town’s options for energy efficiency and alternative energy.

The Open Space Committee is looking for two members. The group will be updating the town’s Open Space and Recreation Plan.

Gill trash schedule for Thanksgiving week

GILL — During the Thanksgiving week only, Gill’s trash and recycling collection will be on Saturday. Gill asks residents to have trash to the curb by 7 a.m. on Saturday.

Montague trash schedule for Thanksgiving week

Thanksgiving trash and recycling schedule this week is: Thursday’s collection will be on Friday and Friday’s will be Saturday.

Local middle school art on display

TURNERS FALLS — The Great Falls Middle School Art Department is partnering with Greenfield Savings Bank to display art from teacher Katrina Eichorn’s classes in the lobby of the bank’s Avenue A branch. The displays will change throughout the school year focusing on the units at hand.
