Montague, Nov. 16

7:21 a.m. — Reporting person says there is a vehicle rollover on Millers Falls Road near Chestnut Street, but unknown if injuries; Medcare and Turners Falls Fire Department were advised; officer on scene canceled Medcare, as there were no injuries, but the vehicle had to be towed; the patient refused medical aid, and the parents picked him up.

10:18 a.m. — Report of a motor vehicle accident near Barton Cove at Chapel Drive on Route 2 in Gill; a tractor-trailer unit, versus a sedan; entrapment reported; Montague Police and Turners Falls Fire Department en route to assist.

Orange, Nov. 14

10:20 a.m. — Caller from D Street in Athol came into the station to report she had lost her wedding rings a few months ago, and now thinks that a person out of Athol is trying to sell them online. The online garage sale states there is a size 5 gold band for sale, but no picture of the ring for sale was present; but an officer did try to make contact with the seller; the reporting person was advised of this negative findings.

12:10 p.m. — Control advised they got a call of an unwanted male on East Main Street; while an officer was en route, Control advised that the male had left, and the situation was verbal only; officer spoke with both people involved and it was found to be over a coat that was left at the residence.

8:40 p.m. — Report of a vehicle in the parking lot on East Main Street, with the motor running, with two young children, estimated to be ages 2 and 6, left unattended; on arrival, the vehicle was gone, but Athol Police located the same a half hour later; officers spoke with the operator, and she said her child is 12 years old.

10:34 p.m. — A 911 caller says there is a disturbance inside the store on East Main street involving a bunch of people; three males left, all claiming to have a gun; on arrival of an officer one suspect fled, but was later located and apprehended; Athol Police and state police from Athol were requested to assist; K-9 officers from Belchertown and the Sheriff’s Department also assisted, and as a result of the investigation, two males were taken into custody on multiple charges; arrested were Kyle A. Fielding, 18, of East Main Street, Orange, charged with assault with a dangerous weapon, to wit, a firearm, assault and battery, resisting arrest, and disorderly conduct; also arrested was Craig Westbrook, 26, of Cottage Street Orange, for assault with a dangerous weapon, to wit, a firearm, assault and battery, disorderly conduct, and disturbing the peace. Both were held on $5,000 and $7,500 bail.

Orange, Nov. 15

9:30 a.m. — Officer wanted on Fountain Street where the Orange Fire Department was en route to a residence for a report of a flooded basement; officer located the boiler, heavily pouring water throughout the basement; officer shut off the water to the boiler; fire department to handle from then on.

Greenfield, Nov. 16

9:04 p.m. — Report of a disabled vehicle on Leyden Woods Lane where the reporting person states they heard an accident, and his daughter advised she saw one of the individuals throw a bag into the wooded area; caller can still see the headlights but unable to provide any other information; no calls from those directly involved. Officers sent, and found it not as reported; a single motor vehicle with a broken tire rod; the person there was directed to retrieve the bag of trash from the woods, and that person complied; a tow truck was requested, and was later here and the vehicle removed.

9:06 p.m. — Accident reported near the Irving gas station convenience store, on the Mohawk Trail, and the cars moved into the parking lot; officer sent and took the details of both operators.

11:26 p.m. — Female caller reporting a fight in an apartment on Union Street but unknown if anyone involved; the caller advised an individual just broke into his house and ripped his shirt, but no injuries involved. He is walking away toward Main Street and was described as a tall male wearing jeans. The caller then states that there are two males currently outside physically fighting; the reporting person stated that it started inside, with both males being verbal, and then it moved outside; one white male appeared to be in his 30s and the other white male appeared to be in his 40s. Officers found the altercation between males occurred as the female brought a male home, and her son took exception.

Greenfield, Nov. 17

12:01 a.m. — Report of a hit and run at the Poet’s Seat Health Care on High Street where the caller states that someone had struck the front left side of her vehicle, no other vehicle on the scene; large amount of front end damage, and believed to be another employee. Under investigation.

7:38 a.m. — Report of a motor vehicle theft on High Street where the reporting person lent an employee his vehicle, but he hasn’t returned it and has failed to return to work since 11/15/16; the reporting person has tried to make contact with the employee and checked with area hospital and police departments, but no one has had contact with the employee; a stolen motor vehicle form was completed and entered into the national system for the black 2005 Chevy pickup.
