Robert and Teresa Hicks will celebrate their 60th wedding anniversary on Thursday, November 17th. Robert and Teresa (formerly Peters) were married on November 17th 1956 at Saint Joseph’s church in Shelburne Falls by the late Father O’Malley.
They have eight children: Terry and her husband Mike, of Adams, Maryanne and her husband Rick, of West Springfield, Nancy and her husband Eric, of Bradford, VT, Craig and his wife Nancy, of South Hadley, John and his wife Kim, of Shelburne, Jim and his wife Pam, of Buckland, Rob and his wife Karen, of Shelburne, Vincent and his wife Beth, of Hampstead, NC.
Robert and Teresa have 23 grandchildren: Mike, Laura and Sarah, Rob, Sean and Renee, Derrick and Leanne, John, Stephanie, Gabriella and Francesca, Monique, Lisa, Angel, Seth, and Holly, MaKayla and Andrew, Jackson and Gracie, Hunter and Weston. They also have 6 great grandchildren: Taylor, Chase, Colton, Taylor, Brooke and Logan.
Robert retired from American Fiber & Finishing in Colrain where he worked for 43 years. Teresa retired from Buckley and The Anchorage Nursing Home where she worked for 17 years.
Together they enjoy watching baseball and football games, gardening and running their business, Mother’s.
