Youth Basketball Program: Registration for Montague residents has begun for all levels of Youth Basketball Program, which includes Start Smart Basketball for children in Grades K to 2; Program runs from early January to late February 2017; (Evening To Be Determined) 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Enrollment maximum 18. Montague Residents $30. Due to the low enrollment capacity of this program, non-residents will automatically be placed on the waiting list until close to the start of the program.

Junior and Senior Travel Team Basketball for children in Grades 3 to 6. Separate Boys and Girls teams are typically created. However, combining levels and creating coed teams may be necessary due to enrollment. Fees for both levels: Montague Residents $70. Enrollment Per Team: minimum: 8, maximum: 10.

Youth Basketball Clinics: Girls and Boys in Grades 3 to 6, 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. Sheffield Elementary School Gym. Girls Clinic: Tuesday, Nov. 15. Boys Clinic: Thursday, Nov. 17. Montague Residents $20 per player, Non-residents $25 per player. (Non-residents will be automatically placed on a waiting list until today and will be placed on the main roster if a vacancy exists). Note: These clinics are not “try-outs” for our Youth Basketball Program, nor do they guarantee placement on those teams. Participation in our Youth Basketball Program is first come/first serve. These are fundraising events that support MPRD’s Youth Basketball Program!

Annual Sawmill River 10K Run: Advanced registration has begun for this New Year’s tradition. This year’s race will be Saturday, Dec. 31, in Montague Center Village. 10 a.m. start. Register online at www.runreg.com or www.montague.net. USA Track & Field sanctioned. Entry fees: $25 (Paid before Dec. 30 at noon) $30 (Paid thereafter). Divisions: Youth, 18 years and under, Open: 19 to 39. Master, 40 to 49 years. Senior 50 to 59 years. Senior 60 years and up. Proceeds benefit our Sponsor-A-Child Scholarship Program.
