8:05 a.m. — Report of a motor vehicle crash in the parking area of Cliffside Apartments; one woman was backing out of her parking spot, and hit the vehicle operated by a male, but no injuries.

Orange, Oct. 29

1:44 p.m. — Control reports a hit-and-run accident in the parking lot on East Main Street; a silver Nissan pickup left the scene. Under investigation.

11:45 p.m. — Officer dispersed a gathering of about 10 people loitering in front of the teen housing building on East Main Street; they all left that area without incident.

Orange, Oct. 30

1:55 a.m. — Officer saw several people leaving the back bar area of the Elks Club on New Athol Road after hours; the officer spoke with the bartender who acknowledged he was late getting them out; no alcohol was seen in the area, but he was advised he was in violation and reminded him of the time they all had to be out.

4:31 p.m. — Control advised the Erving police is seeking a K-9 for a missing hiker in area of Arch Street in Erving; after assessing the situation it was determined to be a call for a bloodhound; Petersham police was requested to respond with their bloodhound, and assistance was provided.

Greenfield, Oct. 31

12:43 p.m. — Accident at Wildwood Avenue and Bernardston roads, one vehicle involved, with a pole; officer and Fire Department responded; no injuries reported, but Eversource was called and advised to check the pole.

4:05 p.m. — Larceny reported at Adam and Eve on Main Street where they have a past shoplifting on security footage.

5:11 p.m.— Runaway reported at Greenfield Star Transitional Home on Conway Street.

5:26 p.m. — Larceny reported on Prospect Street where the caller says a package was stolen off the porch at this location.

8:14 p.m. — Trespassing reported from Swift Cleaners on Main Street where the employee, who isn’t on scene, reports there is a person into the business charging a cell phone and she would like him asked to leave; gone on arrival.

Orange, Oct. 31

8:56 a.m. — Control reports a call from South Main Street where the woman reports her motor vehicle was entered overnight and a wallet was taken; officer took the report.

10:25 a.m. — Caller from Cheney Street advised Control she is looking to speak with an officer as someone went into her car last night and took her wallet; the report was taken.

5:47 p.m. — West Myrtle Street report of two motorcycles speeding on Walnut Hill Road, and they are now parked in the driveway at this location; officer spoke with those involved regarding the complaint. Services rendered.

7:20 p.m. — Officer on East Main Street observed a male standing in front of the Teen Center, and had knowledge that the male had three outstanding warrants; arrested was Tyler Devin Graton, 21, of Memory Lane, Orange, charged on three warrants from the Orange District Court.

11:30 p.m. — Control reports people screaming and threatening to fight outside the Dial Self housing facility on East Main Street; arrested were Eric Merrifield, 20, of Main Street, Athol, charged on disorderly conduct; disturbing the peace, and trespassing; also arrested was a 16-year-old juvenile for the same charges of disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, and trespassing.

Montague, Oct. 31

11:55 a.m. — Caller from Millers Falls Road reports unauthorized transactions on the reporting person’s credit card; officer sent, and took the report, and will continue to monitor the situation.

7:55 p.m. — Assault and battery reported on Avenue A at the Connecticut River Liquor and Wine store where the employee reported that a female came into the store requesting EMS, and stated three subjects in masks walked by her, and one of them sprayed her in the eyes with an unknown substance; the call came in on the regular business line; and advised the caller that EMS would be responding, and that Medcare would be calling him back momentarily with pre-arrival instructions; Medcare and Turners Falls Fire Department responding and will stage there until the police clears the scene on the earlier assault and battery, and police units are coming from that call.

8:56 p.m. — Larceny reported from Hubie’s Tavern and Restaurant on Avenue A where there were multiple callers reporting that one or more masked subjects entered the tavern, stole a female’s purse, and took off running; police investigating.

9:57 p.m. — Fight reported in vicinity of a Second Street location where the reporting person says 16 to 20 people appear to be ready to fight at this location, but no weapons were seen. Peace was restored by responding officers.

8:30 a.m. — Accident report at Ferrante Avenue and Bernardston Road, but no injuries reported. Two vehicles involved, citation issued.

8:42 a.m. — Disturbance on Conway Street where the reporting person says neighbors are fighting; officers responded and found it to be a verbal argument.

Orange, Nov. 1

5:52 p.m. — Person reportedly assaulted by a large intoxicated male wearing a gray hooded sweatshirt and a camouflage hat on East Main Street in the center of town; arrested Scott David Marz, 40, of Cloukey Avenue, Orange, charged with disorderly conduct, disturbing the peace, assault and battery on a police officer, resisting arrest, and of threatening to commit a crime, to wit, murder.

Greenfield, Nov. 1

12:16 p.m. — Unwanted person at the high school on Barr Avenue; officers sent, and a 17-year-old juvenile was arrested, and a report was filed.

5:21 p.m. — Caller reports his mom lost her wallet today, likely between Wendy’s and Vernon Street; a blue wallet with various cards.

7:25 p.m. — Accident reported at the Weldon House apartments on High Street, two vehicles involved, found to be minor damage, and information exchanged.

Montague, Nov. 1

10:05 a.m. — Robbery reported by a person calling from the alley between Fourth and Fifth streets where the reporting person was being robbed; officers sent, and it is under investigation.

12:10 p.m. — Loot Found and Made Store on Avenue A reported a past breaking and entering, with the window popped out.

1:03 p.m. — Disorderly conduct, reported at the Turners Falls Post Office, where a patron is holding up the line and arguing with employees; the patron is upset about a money order that the post office is unable to cash; peace was restored.

11:07 p.m. — Reporting person says a male patron at Hubie’s Tavern and Restaurant on Avenue A is being rude and disrespectful; they have asked him to leave, but he is refusing. Officers sent, and services rendered.

7:48 p.m. — Disturbance at Applebee’s on the Mohawk Trail where an employee reports a fight in the parking lot; 10 or more people involved; officers responded and found it to be simple assault and battery.

Greenfield, Nov. 2

1:12 a.m. — Suspicious activity reported on Peabody Lane where the caller says suspicious vehicles are at the end of road near the circle; and could hear people yelling in the woods; officers found four individuals in two vehicles exited from the woods and were advised of trespassing, identified, and moved along.

6:57 a.m. — Caller from Baystate Franklin Medical Center Security reports a male who was discharged, and is refusing to leave, and is currently in front of the ER; officers sent, and found the belligerent male was picked up by Detox program personnel, and no further police services needed.

7:59 a.m. — Report from area of Veterans Memorial Mall on Main Street where a male is on the ground near the sculpture; officer located the male who stated he was sleeping; he has moved along.

10:01 a.m. — Report of illegal dumping at the Swift Cleaners on Main Street; a male was seen on video dumping a large screen TV into a dumpster.

10:52 a.m. — Report of a larceny at Valley Medical Group, on Conway Street where the reporting person says a bag of money is missing from the reception area, and was last seen yesterday at 4:28 p.m.; officer responded and it is under investigation.

11:53 a.m. — Caller from Interstate 91 northbound Exit 27 where the caller reports a motor vehicle on fire; Fire Department was notified, and an officer dispatched; tow truck on the scene, no injuries reported.

1:04 p.m. — Unwanted person on Chapman Street where the father has asked his son to leave. The father was advised of an harassment protective order, and trespassing options; nothing further needed.

2:39 p.m. — Accident reported at Juniper Court; a person was struck by a trailer. Officers assisted; Medcare will transport the man to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.

3:46 p.m. — Accident on the Mohawk Trail at the Dunkin’ Donuts involving a two-vehicle crash in the parking lot, but no injuries reported; minor damage found. Operator was cited for failure to use care while backing, and an unregistered motor vehicle. Operator of the second car was issued a criminal citation for operating a motor vehicle with license suspended.

6:14 p.m. — Accident reported at Main and Chapman streets; a vehicle hit a bicyclist, but he isn’t injured; officer arrived and took the report.

11:13 p.m. — Breaking and entering, at Forbes Court reported by a woman who states she discovered her door was unlocked, upon returning home, after being gone for about three hours; she has noticed that her cabinets were open and about $400 was missing.

Montague, Nov. 2

9:14 a.m. — Caller from Great Falls Middle School on Turnpike Road for a drug or narcotics violation, and an officer was advised. No other information logged.

10:46 a.m. — Reporting person requests options regarding a dumped chair that has been outside on Fourth Street since this past summer; officer spoke with the DPW, and they will pick it up.

Orange, Nov. 2

11:12 a.m. — Larceny reported on South Cemetery Road where the reporting person says flowers were stolen off her husband’s grave since Sunday.

11:20 a.m. — Got a call from Walnut Hill Road of a suspicious male walking in the area wearing a sheet and carrying a knife; on officer’s arrival the male was found to be a monk, and no knife was on his person; it was an umbrella.

6:45 p.m. — Disturbance on West Main Street where officers were on foot, and heard yelling in front of a West Main Street location; they learned that a male and female were arguing about money owed; they left the area as the officers walked up the street.

Greenfield, Nov. 3

2:46 a.m. — Caller from Swift Cleaners on Main Street states he is the maintenance person at this location; services rendered.

8:10 a.m. — Disturbance on Fort Square where the reporting person states there is a man across the street who is outside of a red truck, and screaming; officers found it was a known male who was calm on arrival, but was advised of the complaint; he agreed and will lower his voice.

Greenfield, Nov. 4

9:20 a.m. — A caller reported two vehicles, a blue 2008 Jeep Commander and a white 2009 Kia Rio, had been broken into on Prospect Street.

10:36 a.m. — An accident without injuries occurred at Conway Street and Hayes Avenue between a black 2007 Mercedes R and a red 2007 Chevrolet Cobalt. Both vehicles were towed and the Fire Department responded due to a fluid leak.

7:09 p.m. — A caller reported her “Black Lives Matter” sign was stolen from her lawn on Meadowood Drive.

Greenfield, Nov. 5

9:23 a.m. — An accident without injuries occurred at the Interstate 91 rotary between a green 1998 Honda Accord and a white 2001 Chevrolet Lumina. There was minor damage and the driver of the Honda was cited for failing to use care when stopping.

12:46 p.m. — A caller at Sandri Convenience Store, at 295 Federal St., reported a white male who entered the store on at least two occasions and stole Nestle chocolate chips and Hostess cinnamon rolls.

12:57 p.m. — A caller on Cleveland Street reported losing her purse, having left it on the roof of her car Friday night.
