ORANGE — The Friends of the Orange Public Libraries made a personal donation of $688 to the Orange Food Pantry/Franklin County Community Meals Program on Wednesday.
ORANGE — The Literacy Project North Quabbin plans an open house from 4 to 6 p.m. in its new site at the Orange Innovation Center on Nov. 10.
It is meant to serve as an opportunity to meet the staff and tour the new facilities at 131 West Main St. Light refreshments will be served.
The Literacy Project offers free classes to adults in western Massachusetts in beginning literacy as well as HiSET (High School Equivalency) preparation. It offers small classes in five locations throughout Franklin, Hampshire and western Worcester counties.
The North Quabbin site had been housed at the Central School Building for 18 years, until the opportunity arose to move to the OIC. To RSPV to the Open House, call 978—544—8917 or e—mail Site Director Catherine King at cking@literacyproject.org.
