5:27 p.m. — Larceny reported at Bayberry Court where the reporting person stated an involved person has stolen her EBT card and withdrawn all her money; officer tried calling her back to the number provided, but had to leave a message.

6:55 p.m. — Despondent person reported at Franklin Recovery Center with Behavioral Health, officer sent and Medcare was also sent; the despondent female was transported to the hospital.

7:09 p.m. — Disturbance on Hope Street where the reporting person says an intoxicated male, may have punched a male in a red Toyota truck; caller said he heard yelling and screaming just before the possible assault happened; officer sent, but unable to locate people or the truck.

7:09 p.m. — Same time as previous call; caller reports a disturbance at Standish Court at the time the previous item was developing, and the caller reported two people yelling and chasing each other; officers sent, and found it to be a mother and daughter verbal dispute; peace was restored.

Orange, Oct. 23

5:30 p.m. — Officers on Stone Valley Road to serve a warrant; subject arrested without incident was Frank J. Carey, 29, of Stone Valley Road, Orange, on the default warrant from Orange District Court.

7:45 p.m. — Officers on Red Brook Lane to serve a warrant; arrested was Karen S. Piro, 66, of Red Brook Lane, Orange, on a straight warrant from Orange District Court.

9 p.m. — Officers on Pleasant Street to serve a warrant; arrested was Christopher W. Priestly, 51, of Pleasant Street, Orange, on the warrant.

10 p.m. — Officers on Prospect Street to serve a warrant; arrested was Richard H. Truesdell III, 26, of Prospect Street, Orange, on a straight warrant from Orange District Court.

Greenfield, Oct. 24

6:56 a.m. — Breaking-and-entering attempt on Chapman Street, where the reporting person states the door looks “smashed,” as if someone tried to break in last night; officer investigating, and found entry was made, with an unknown amount taken from the safe; items collected for possible prints.

8:22 a.m. — Report of a breaking and entering, at Premiere Staffing Services, on Main Street; officer to investigate; services rendered.

10:41 a.m. — Walk-in person from West Street would like to fill out a report of fraud on his debit card; the male had a $10 charge which he didn’t make; the card was canceled, and he wished to make a police report.

Orange, Oct. 24

1:29 a.m. — Officer located an open basement window on Wheeler Avenue with the screen removed; after checking, there didn’t appear to have been any entry into the building; officers secured the business. Unable to contact a key holder.

1:45 a.m. — Officer stopped a bicyclist for no front white light, and no red rear light; the operator was also operating on the wrong side of the roadway; officer also conducted a well-being check on the operator, and he was issued a verbal warning.

2:45 a.m. — Neighborhood disturbance on East Main Street where the caller reports an upstairs tenant is doing laundry at this hour; the downstairs tenant confronted the upstairs tenant, and threats were made; officer sent, and both parties were instructed to go to bed for the evening.
