Mother Goose on the Loose, Tuesday and Friday, 10 to 11 a.m. Join the happy circle with Kay Lyons at a lap-sit story hour for children age 3 and under (with a grown-up) at the Greenfield Public Library. No sign-up is required, and the program is free of charge thanks to the generosity of the Friends of Greenfield Public Library.

Young Writers Group, Wednesday, 4 to 5 p.m. Author and teacher Nell Wright will work with young writers ages 10-14 on Wednesdays. The group will meet in the Greenfield Room from 4 -5pm. The group is limited to 8 participants and preregistration is required.

First Wednesday Speaker Series: At Sword’s Point: The Labor History of Greenfield, Wednesday, Nov. 2, 6 p.m. First Wednesday Speaker Series welcomes Tom Goldscheider with a special presentation about Greenfield’s remarkable industrial past told from the perspective of the men and women who worked in its plants making tools to exacting standards for more than a century.
