GREENFIELD — Greenfield Community Television is seeking the public’s help finding a painting that was stolen from its Main Street location.

GCTV Executive Director Scott MacPherson said the 2-by-3-foot painting, which features four tall trees in pink, orange, blue and green hues, was stolen about two weeks ago. Created by local artist Gary Smith for the Local Cultural Council Art Show, MacPherson said the painting is valued at several hundred dollars and had been on display at GCTV’s studio since September.

“Somebody slipped in through the front door and grabbed it off the wall and took off with it,” he said, adding the door is only unlocked when staff are in the building.

Anyone with information is asked to contact the Greenfield Police Department at 413-773-5411.
