In substitution of the further exploration of the private lives of Donald and Hilary, perhaps attention and time should be directed to the following:
1. Inequality and taxation;
2. Immigration, racism and criminal justice;
3. Islamic extremism and gun control;
4. Civil war, nation building and the use of the military;
5. Corruption by the most powerful;
6. Energy protection and the environment;
7. The middle class trap of unemployment and non-employment;
8. Political gridlock, including campaign funding, gerrymandering, voter suppression, term limits and the elimination of the electoral college;
9. Education and health care.
Regardless of who is the next president, she or he will deal with the backlash, which produced Donald, Bernie and Brexit.
Political pragmatism is needed to meaningfully address the above stated issues.
Without it, neither she nor he will be able to govern. Nothing will change. Billions of dollars spent to return to more of the same.
