As a long-time subscriber to The Recorder, I look for consequential news in heavy black type on Page One … something that will affect our lives, at least in the county, if not the nation or the world.
The sale of a local eatery does not meet the standard, although certainly OK information within the paper.
A new facade on a bank, being planned, doesn’t make it either.
With all the events in the Middle East, real threats of a hurricane on the East Coat or events in the Capitol that will impact citizens, there were newsworthy alternatives.
Please reserve all that black ink for things that matter; it will be good for readership, too.
