ORANGE — The American Red Cross is again partnering with the Orange Fire Department to install free smoke alarms in area residences on Nov. 5.
Teams consisting of a Red Cross volunteer and firefighter will visit pre-registered Orange homes to install smoke alarms, as well as educate the homeowners on fire safety and personal preparedness.
Orange residents wishing to participate should own a home built prior to 1975 and have alarms at least 10 years old or no alarms at all. To register, contact the Orange Fire Department at 978-544-3145 by Oct. 28.
