WENDELL — The Wendell Free Library plans to host a free, group-style ukulele workshop for adults and older teenagers at 6 p.m. today and Oct. 13.

The workshop, a two-session event called “Learn Ukulele with Julie,” will include beginner’s lessons, followed by strum-alongs of easy songs. Ukuleles will be available for loan to the first 20 registrants. Call 978-544-3559 or drop by the library at 7 Wendell Depot Road to register. The instructor, known as Music Julie, is Julie Stepanek, who also performs under the name Calamine. She is perhaps best known for writing the theme song of “Sealab 2021,” an animated series on Cartoon Network’s “Adult Swim” program.

This program is made possible by a grant from the Wendell Cultural Council and the Friends of the Wendell Free Library.
