4:57 a.m. — Caller from Kenwood Street reports there is a truck making a delivery at Fastenal on the same street and it is causing a disturbance; the delivery truck was departing on officer’s arrival; no action needed.
8:12 a.m. — Hazardous condition on Deerfield Street where the property manager reports a burst pipe in the basement, and unable to turn the shut-off due to rust; water department contacted, and shortly then was on scene; Board of Health office was notified.
9:17 a.m. — Officer attempting to serve a warrant on Pierce Street; arrested was Shane E. Johnson, 42, of Pierce Street, Greenfield, on the warrant,
11:19 a.m. — Accident reported at the Baystate Franklin Medical Center Office Building, on Sanderson Street, where the caller reports no injuries; officer assisted with information exchange.
12:14 p.m. — Walk-in advises he has ammunition he would like to turn in for destruction; an officer took the items.
1:03 p.m. — Request from Grove Street that police check a person at the Hillside Park, who is leaning against a play structure, mumbling to himself, and behaving oddly; officers arrived, and requested Medcare, as they found the person petting a rock on the rock wall, calling it his “baby”; possible LSD overdose, and an officer accompanied the patient to the Baystate Franklin Medical Center; the 46-year-old man from Turners Falls will be summoned for possessing a Class B drug.
1:40p.m. — Despondent person reported at Beacon Field on the Sanderson Street side, caller reports the male there is mentally ill, off his medication, and has made threats to kill the reporting person; officers responded, the male was taken into custody, and was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center under a Section 12 process; report was issued.
3:25 p.m. — Despondent person reported at Victory House on Conway Street; the caller was very upset with the staff there, and kept on the line until police arrived; the subject needed help mediating an issue with the staff that she felt she was unable to handle without a neutral mediator; the officers assisted.
3:54 p.m. — The caller reports from Spruce Street, and says a five-gallon jug of pennies is missing from his home and he believes someone may have entered into his basement, and gotten into the house within the last several days; nothing else was taken.
4:16 p.m. — Breaking and entering attempt into a motor vehicle reported on Forbes Court where the reporting person says a vehicle was broken into.
6:17 p.m. — Caller reports an accident on the Interstate 91 off ramp to the rotary, but with no injuries; one car was stopped at the end of the ramp and another car rear-ended the first car; both vehicles pulled off to the side, and both operators exited their vehicles and looked at the damage; the damage was the imprint of the second vehicle’s front license plate on the other operator’s rear bumper; the second vehicle operator offered the first operator $30, not to report the incident, but the operator of the first car denied the offer; the operator of the second car then left the scene; the first operator observed Virginia plates; this plate number didn’t return as valid and the operator of the first car was advised to call his insurance company.
7:21 p.m. — Accident reported at Walgreen’s on Pierce Street, no injuries reported; two vehicles involved; officer sent, and services rendered.
7:31 p.m. — Caller from near Jim’s Tree Service on Wells Street where the caller reports hearing a single gun shot; he also heard a man scream; the reporting person says it isn’t uncommon for the man, who she believed to have screamed to be outside screaming. Officer spoke with someone at Oak Courts and someone was shooting off “big and bright,” fireworks; second caller states there were three gun shots, and he is located on Cedar Street.
7:43 p.m. — Despondent person reported at Silver Street and Washburn Avenue for a report of an irate male throwing his cell phone into traffic and yelling; the white male is heading toward High Street on Silver Street; officer located the intoxicated man and the same was picked up by his wife and taken home.
11:30 p.m. — Larceny call from the Greenfield Eye and Lasik Center on Riddell Street where the reporting person states her phone was stolen while at work, a Samsung Galaxy 6, and the reporting person believes she left it outside, and somebody must have picked it up; attempts to call the cell number gave no answer; officer checked the area, but found nothing.
4:43 a.m. — Caller says a horse is loose on Turners Falls Road south of Plains Road. Officer responded, but unable to locate the horse.
8:55 a.m. — Detail officer requesting marked unit for a motor vehicle accident at Montague City Road and Masonic Avenue, where a motorist side-swiped one of the construction vehicles; a Subaru struck a John Deere front-end loader; the officer sent will be contacting the company to find out more information on the vehicle; no citations issued.
11:10 a.m. — Reporting person wants to speak with an officer regarding a motorcycle that speeds on Dell Street on a regular basis; the reporting person took a picture on his cell phone of the motorcycle, but he didn’t get the license plate; he called the chief this morning, and the chief requested the reporting person to bring the video in to show the officer; officer also had monitored Dell Street for a period earlier this morning. The call referred to at 8:42 a.m. showed maximum speed of vehicles was 32 miles per hour and average speed was 26 miles per hour, during the time he was monitoring traffic there. The reporting person was given options.
12:22 p.m. — Caller from the crossover between routes 63 and 47 where the caller reports a disabled vehicle, and that smoke was coming from the vehicle; Shelburne Control and an officer were advised; the latter found the vehicle was no longer smoking on his arrival, but the vehicle will be towed.
4:55 a.m. — Loud noise disturbance on East Main Street from where the caller advised Control that she lives near Wal-Mart, and is complaining that the overnight workers are too loud causing, her dog to bark for hours; on an officer’s arrival there were no workers outside of the building, and all was quiet.
12:45 p.m. — Reporting person called the station wanting to report prescription of Oxycodone stolen; this would be an ongoing issue and an officer spoke with the reporting person who is in the process of getting a set up where someone comes into the home to administer the medications.
4:17 p.m. — Reporting person from East River Street called regarding an IRS phone scam call; the reporting person was given the number to the U.S. Treasury hot line.
9:15 p.m. — Control advised a reporting person on Adams Street states their dog was found deceased in their driveway this afternoon; after speaking with the reporting person, the officer determined that the individual on the second floor possibly struck the animal unintentionally when exiting the driveway with his pickup truck; report taken.
6:06 a.m. — Larceny reported on Washington Street where the reporting person states his iPad has been gone for a few days and he has been watching on, “find my iPad” and it has been pinged at a Deerfield Street location near “Needful Things” but unable to locate; officer to investigate.
9:21 a.m. — Report that a 2012 Hyundai Santa Fe has been repossessed at a Lunt Drive location.
12:34 p.m. — Officers on Oak Courts to serve a warrant; arrested was Sheri A. Luscier, 34, of Oak Courts, Greenfield, on the court warrant.
4:45 p.m. — Caller from Meadow Lane reports a female came to her door and she said she was conducting a health census; the caller didn’t give her any information; the female was thin with grayish/blonde hair and was driving a cream colored Toyota SUV, officer sent, but was unable to locate the woman.
5:31 p.m. — Caller from Main Street wants to reports a person in a wheelchair in the roadway who almost ran over him; this is the third time this has happened.
6:49 p.m. — Accident reported at Friendly’s on the Mohawk Trail where the caller says he witnessed an accident there and wants to provide the plate information of the vehicle that struck the other vehicle in case anyone calls to report it.
7:19 p.m. — Report of a white Nissan Maxima in the area of Colrain Road and Meadow Lane from which occupants keep getting out of their vehicles and looking a mailboxes and houses. Officer to check but no one found.
10:23 p.m. — Breaking and entering, at Aster Court reported when two females, who were out in front of the apartments, attempting to gain access via the screens in the windows; officers sent and found one person had a warrant; arrested was Stephanie M. Pederzini, 29, of Second Street, Turners Falls. On the warrant.
10:50 p.m. — Officers on Chapman Street to serve a warrant; arrested was Willie White, 35, of Chapman Street, Greenfield, on two warrants.
6:41 a.m. — An officer from Greenfield Police reporting a breaking and entering, to the Turners Falls Rod and Gun Club, the rear door appears to have been kicked in, the reporting person advises he is armed and in detail uniform, and is checking the building. Montague officers responding, and advise the damage to the door appears to be old and doesn’t appear that entry was made; building was checked and security alarm was set.
9:42 a.m. — Report of a large number of turkeys at the foot of a driveway along Route 2 west of the French King Bridge, in Gill, and the reporting person expressed concern that the turkeys would continue into the road and create a hazard; Shelburne Control was notified for police in the town involved.
4 p.m. — Control got a call from Hayden Street, caller would like to speak with an officer about a tent that was located on private property in the woods; the officer located the tent, and it appears someone had been recently staying in it; the officer will check back later to see if anyone is with it; the officer checked again at 9 p.m., and no one was with the tent.
4:50 p.m. — Neighborhood disturbance, reported to Control from Battle Street, where the caller spoke of a verbal altercation occurring between two neighbors in regards to a fence that was put up between the two properties; on officer’s arrival the people were separated and advised to stay away from each other; each were advised of future options.
6:13 p.m. — Control advised of a call from Eddy Street stating there are kids standing in the driveway at this residence throwing rocks into the tree there, and the caller feels it might damage the neighbor’s property; on arrival it was found the kids were trying to get a ball down, that was stuck in the tree; they were advised of different alternatives.
11:05 p.m. — Control reports a two-car accident on Adams Street with no injury; the involved people left the scene and went home to report it; they were advised to contact their insurance company in the morning to report it.
3:18 a.m. — Officer at Baystate Franklin Medical Center to serve a warrant; a male was reported as extremely intoxicated and they were unable to make sense of anything he said; the ER doctor advised he could stay at the hospital a while longer and they’ll contact police when the male is more coherent; officer then later arrested Dylan Patrick Cusack, 24, of Raeford, N.C., on the warrant
9:04 a.m. — Forgery or fraud from Juniper Court; caller says she sent $150 through Western Union to a male she met online, who stated he worked with a church charity and would help her pay off her debt; after sending the money, he asked for another $100 dollars, at which point she realized it was a scam; services rendered.
