10:01 a.m. — Shelburne Control got a call from Pleasant Street from the reporting person who states the finding of needles in the trash of an ex-tenant; officer responded, and options were given.
5:41 p.m. — Loud noise disturbance reported on East River Street where the noise was coming from four-wheelers and they are riding on the sidewalks; on officer’s arrival, the four-wheelers were parked, and all was quiet; spoke with the home owner regarding the complaint.
6:14 p.m. — General disturbance on Lake Mattawa Road of a male/female disturbance, inside a vehicle; the vehicle was located at 6:35 p.m., and the female was found at 8:34 p.m. on Holtshire Road; situation investigated.
12:43 a.m. — Officer checking on a man who was observed slumped on the front steps of the Holy Trinity Church on Main Street; the male was found to be sluggish to respond to the first officer on the scene, and was found to be in a deep sleep, and states he was waiting for his ride to arrive in about 15 minutes. Situation investigated.
1:18 p.m. — Traffic stop on French King Highway at Silver Street investigation led to Hillary Joslyn Chase, 24, of Pleasant Street, Orange, charged with operating under the influence of liquor, marked lanes violation, second charge of operating under the influence of liquor, with BAC 0.08 or greater, reckless operation of a motor vehicle, and causing gridlock and blocking an intersection; an officer transported one female to North Street in Montague; vehicle was towed.
3:23 a.m. — Officer found a male sitting in the stairwell between the Dollar Store and the electronic store on the Mohawk Trail; the male sates he has reservations for tomorrow at the Rodeway Inn, and no place to stay until then; the male says he is going to be moving along to Dunkin’ Donuts when they open.
8:18 a.m. — Person reported down on Mountain Road, and officer to check, and found the subject was bleeding from the chin; the man couldn’t sand up without assistance, was unsteady of his feet, and had a possible head injury; the male was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center for evaluation and a Section 12 process was completed.
8:33 a.m. — Report from Chapman Street of a wire down; Fire Department responded, fire command reports the Verizon line is down, and then Eversource was also notified about the pole.
8:55 a.m. — Report of large tree blocking the roadway at Homestead Avenue and Shelburne Road; fire command then reports the tree is already moved off the road; no wires involved.
9:02 a.m. — Caller reports a fence down on upper Main Street, and in the roadway, officer found six sections of aluminum fencing, tied together, are down and in the roadway; he was able to move it to the side of the roadway but secured construction area was now open; requested dispatch contact the site employee to advise.
9:16 a.m. — Officer removed numerous milk cartons in the middle of the roadway at Hope and Olive streets that apparently were blown into the area by high winds; they were placed at the side of the road at the Hope and Olive Restaurant.
10:19 a.m. — Greenfield Fire Department assisted in cutting trees to allow traffic to flow on Wisdom Way; DPW still needed to remove the debris.
11:56 a.m. — Despondent person reported at Aster Court where the caller reports a female is in a closet there, and is cutting herself with a knife; officers sent, and she voluntarily agreed to go to the hospital; voluntary transport for cutting issues.
5:38 p.m. — Breaking and entering, reported on Coolidge Avenue; officer to investigate.
5:51 p.m. — Accident reported on Plain Road where the caller says an unknown vehicle was coming from Meadow Lane toward Colrain Road, and struck the reporting person’s mailbox; a black, passenger’s side view mirror, was left on the scene; the mailbox can be fixed, and the reporting person simply wanted the incident documented in case another incident is reported.
6:12 p.m. — Report of a breaking and entering at Harris Court; officer to investigate, and caller noticed the door was wide open and it appears it was a forced entry; officer found the door was determined to be blown open by the wind, and nothing was missing; and no damage.
11:27 p.m. — Disturbance reported on Heather Court where the reporting person says there is yelling and screaming coming from an apartment; the caller stated it first sounded like an adult female and children, but she can now hear a male screaming; officer sent and found it to be noise from a TV.
12:58 a.m. — Caller reports a suspicious person at the Scalper’s Lodge on Lake Pleasant road; a female caller; officers advised the male to move along and the reporting person, and members, were advised of trespass options.
5:08 a.m. — Officer checking on a parked vehicle on the river side of Unity Park on First Street; the owner/operator male advised he’s having issues at home that he needed to get away from for a short time; he was moved along.
7:31 a.m. — Caller reports seeing a woman fall off her bicycle in the area of the Farren Care Center on Montague City Road, but is unsure if she is hurt or not; officer checked area all the way to the General Pierce Bridge and found nothing.
7:36 a.m. — Anonymous caller reports a male and female sleeping in a vehicle in the area of Park and Seventh streets; officer advises both people are OK, and they were hanging out talking, and fell asleep.
8:45 a.m. — Caller reporting a telephone pole near the Rambler’s Club on Lake Pleasant Road appears to be swaying in the wind, and may be broken; officer checked the length of the road and found no hazards.
8:47 a.m. —Shelburne Control advising there are wires down on Old Sunderland Road at Taylor Hill Road; both roads will be closed; Montague Center Fire Department, is on scene; Taylor Hill is still closed, but is passable for emergency fire and Medcare; Eversource later called stating that all wires are clear and the power is back on, but the tree warden will need to be contacted to remove the rest of the tree involved; possible that heavy equipment will be needed.
