TURNERS FALLS — Turners Falls residents with water bills more than three months overdue will have their service cut off starting Sept. 20 unless they pay up.

The original semi-annual bills were mailed on May 30, according to the department, and needed to be paid within 30 days.

Payments can be made at the Water Department’s office at 226 Millers Falls Road from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays, or in the drop box at the department.

Suzanne Leh, the department’s clerk and collector said 74 late bill notices were issued in May, representing about $8,200 in outstanding fees.
