Greenfield, Aug. 3, Judge William Mazanec III

Michael P. LaFortune, 56, of Mohawk Trail, Charlemont. Charge of being a fugitive from justice on a court warrant, in Buckland, for violation of parole in New Hampshire, was not prosecuted, as, according to a statement made by a counsel from the district attorney’s office, the New Hampshire authorities have taken the defendant into custody.

Chelsea P. Fisher, 25, of Pine Meadow Road, Northfield. Found responsible for operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, in Greenfield, to be dismissed on payment of $125 fine, and decriminalized, to wit, converted to a civil offense.

Austin T. Page, 23, of North Street, Erving. Found responsible for unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, fined $50. Found not responsible for motor vehicle lights violation, and having a motor vehicle that isn’t meeting Registry of Motor Vehicles safety standards,

John L. Jackson, 49, of Montague City Road, Turners Falls. Found responsible for failure to stop for police, filed until 9/15/16 and decriminalized, to wit, converted to a civil offense. Charge of resisting arrest, dismissed on request of the Commonwealth.

Justen R. Brooks, 26, of Elm Street, Greenfield. Charge of operating with suspended registration, to be dismissed on payment of $50 court costs. Found not responsible for unregistered motor vehicle, no inspection sticker, and no registration in possession. Charge of uninsured motor vehicle, dismissed on request of the Commonwealth.

Julio A. Rivera, 47, of Colrain Road, Greenfield. Found responsible for obstructing a stationary emergency vehicle, fined $100, $50 today and $50 by 9/2/16. Charge of operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, dismissed on request of the Commonwealth.

Maria L. Washington, 40, of School Street, Greenfield. Charge of miscellaneous municipal motor vehicle ordinance or bylaw, to wit, trespassing on public land from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m., dismissed on request of the Commonwealth, due to a plea in another case.

Stephen E. Field, 62, of Captain Beers Plain Road, Northfield. Admitted to sufficient facts operating under the influence of liquor, but continued without a finding until 8/18/17, with 45 days mandatory loss of license, plus operating under the influence of alcohol or 8 percent by weight of alcohol, and OUI fee of $250, OUI victims assessment, head injury assessment of $250, and victim witness assessment of $50. Must take and complete the driver’s alcohol educational program, and pay the fee of $707.70. Found responsible for marked lanes violation, fined $100. Charge of negligent operation of a motor vehicle, dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Found not responsible for possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, Must pay probation supervision fee of $65 per month.

Victor Alonso, 27, of Springfield. Pleaded innocent to number plate violation to conceal identification, and operating a motor vehicle with license suspended, in Greenfield by state police, released on personal recognizance, continued to 11/18/16 for pretrial conference.

Charge of miscellaneous municipal motor vehicle ordinance or bylaw, to wit, having or drinking from an open container of alcohol, was dismissed on request of the Commonwealth.

Paris Valley, 44, of Chicopee. Pleaded guilty to assault and battery on family/household member, fined $400 plus $100 surfine, and victim witness assessment of $50, and $50 domestic violence prevention assessment. Charge of assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, to wit, a blunt object, dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Must pay legal counsel fee of $150.

Laura H. Smart, 47, of Wilmington, Vt. Charge of unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle, in Whately by state police, to be dismissed on payment of $50 court costs.

Jean Patrick, 56, of Manchester Center, Vt. Pleaded innocent to being the owner of, or the person in control of, a motor vehicle, did knowingly permit such vehicle to be operated by a person who was unlicensed or whose license had been suspended or revoked, and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle, in Greenfield by state police, released on personal recognizance, continued to 9/21/16 for pretrial conference.

Marcus A. Upshaw, 26, of Amherst Road, Sunderland. Admitted to sufficient facts distributing a Class D drug, marijuana, with intent to distribute, in Shutesbury, but continued without a finding until 2/21/17, with victim witness assessment of $50, must forfeit the money involved, and must possess no more marijuana. Charge of possessing a Class C drug, to wit, hashish, dismissed on request of the Commonwealth. Must pay counsel fee of $150, or perform 16 hours of community service. Must pay $50 per month probation supervision fee.
