This is a self-directed free writing time open to any writer who is looking for a place to work through their lunch. Telecommuters and local business people looking for reliable Wi-Fi and a quiet workspace are invited to the library’s Greenfield Meeting Room Mondays and Fridays from 2 to 5 p.m. Access to the room is free and open to all who need a space to work.
Mother Goose on the Loose, Tuesday and Friday, 10 to 11 a.m. Join the happy circle with Kay Lyons at a lap-sit story hour for children age three and under (with a grown-up) at the Greenfield Public Library. Kay reads books, leads the group in hand rhymes, and uses puppets to teach animal sounds and other concepts new to the very young. Each session is 45 minutes, with half an hour of structured activity and about 15 minutes of visiting time. No sign-up is required, and the program is free of charge thanks to the generosity of the Friends of Greenfield Public Library.
Chess Club, Wednesday, 5:30 to 7:45 p.m. Do you play chess? Meet up with other chess players at the Greenfield Public Library. Contact calderrossi@gmail.com with any questions.
