HAWLEY — Clesson Brook Road in Buckland, below Shepard Road, is now closed to through-traffic between Route 112 and Hawley. The road is closed so that a bridge replacement project, expected to start soon, can be completed more quickly.
Until the road re-opens, East Hawley residents going to Shelburne Falls or Greenfield can take the following detours: go through Charlemont down to Route 2; go down Clesson Brook Road and detour on Shepard to Avery Road to Buckland Center and on to Route 112; or take Ashfield Road to Apple Valley Road, then onto Route 112.
BUCKLAND — The Board of Selectmen is now starting their Tuesday meetings at 5:30 p.m. instead of at 6:30.
The next meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, Aug. 9. They will still meet on the second and fourth Tuesdays of the month.
