COLRAIN — Two people have been hospitalized after a car left the road and struck a tree on Ed Clark Road in Colrain Thursday night.
Trooper Jon Sprague of the Shelburne barracks said a vehicle clipped the side of the road around 7 p.m., then flipped and struck the tree.
He said both occupants suffered minor injuries and were taken to Baystate Franklin Medical Center. He said it remains to be determined if any charges will be filed.
The car, a small blue pick-up truck with Vermont plates, sustained heavy front-end damage and was towed from the scene.
John Henderson of Colrain, who owns the property where the crash happened, said it’s the second time this week a vehicle has come around the bend and rolled into the trees, and the fourth he can remember in six months.
He pointed out areas where bark had been stripped in prior crashes.
“They just lose control right on that curve up there,” he said.
