GREENFIELD — The town’s Recreation Department is seeking volunteers for the 33rd annual Greenfield Triathlon, this Sunday at the Green River Swimming and Recreation Area.

More than 350 athletes from across New England and beyond are expected to compete, helping to raise money for the programs and special events the Recreation Department puts on each year. The department is seeking volunteers of all ages to work water stops along the course, register competitors, help out at transition areas and more.

“Without our volunteers we wouldn’t have had a triathlon the past 32 years, and this year is not an exception,” Recreation Director Christy Moore said in a news release.

Every volunteer will receive a free T-shirt and lunch. To register as a volunteer, contact the Recreation Department at 772-1553 or go to: signup.com/go/nAuVGQ
