The Rev Tor Band will host a celebration of the life, music and spirit of Jeff Martell, who was one of the key organizers for the Green River Festival in Greenfield for two decades. Martell died, on his way to a gig, in a car crash on Route 20 in West Springfield earlier this year.
JEFF FEST will be held at Look Park Pines Theater in Florence on Thursday, Aug. 4, from 6:30 to 10 p.m. Gates will open at 5.
The fest will happen rain or shine — in Look Park’s Garden House, if it rains.
Performances by: Heather Maloney, the Nields, And the Kids, the Lonesome Brothers, Lux Deluxe, the Gaslight Tinkers, the Boxcar Lilies with Jim Henry, Kirtan with Libby Volckening, Dead Collective, East Creek, Harp, Trevor Healy & Adam Bosse, Drew Lopenzina, Thee Arcadians, Selfish Steam and Star Drooker.
There is a $15 to $20 suggested donation at the door. Children under 12 years old are free. Proceeds will benefit the Jeff Martell Scholarship Fund at Greenfield Community College.
