12:40 p.m. — Caller reports homeless people are setting up tents and causing a disturbance; they are all the way at the end of the parking lot across from the Arbors; on Meridian Street; services rendered.
1:03 p.m. — Despondent person reported on Congress Street where the caller requests an officer check the welfare of a person who is on the phone with the VA hotline, and he is having suicidal thoughts; the man was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center, with a Section 12 paper process completed.
2:22 p.m. — Report of a tree down in the roadway at Crescent and Orchard streets; officer and Fire Department responded; found to be a large tree branch down in wires.
2:23 p.m. — Report of wires down on Prospect Avenue, and a tree fallen on a house; fire command requests road closed sign; Eversource on scene.
2:44 p.m. — Report of a wire down on Leonard Street; tree and wires involved, and multiple lines down; requesting building inspector, as the tree struck a house; building inspector on the scene and the building owner also arrived. Eversource on scene and has re-attached the wire, but homeowner advised to say away from the tree.
3:01 p.m. — Threat being made to the Greenfield Police Department and the caller was agitated and made threatening statements toward an officer; the involved male has a previous history of this type of call, he had called in making threats against an officer before; Montague Police contacted to make a welfare check on this male.
3:58 p.m. — Larceny reported on Washington Street where the caller says a light was stolen last night, officer to call him back.
4:04 p.m. — Larceny reported at the Weldon House on High Street where the caller reports someone had stolen a picture off his refrigerator; officer to call back.
4:14 p.m. — Officer at Main and Chapman streets to serve a warrant; arrested was Jesse Michael Odle, 20, of Chapman Street, Greenfield, on a warrant.
5:01 p.m. — Report of a breaking and entering into a motor vehicle, at the Riddell Street Condo Association location, officer to investigate.
5:44 p.m. — Caller from Federal Street School reports he found a crack pipe in a cigarette box, and would like an officer to retrieve it; officer sent and retrieved the box, and it was properly disposed.
7:06 p.m. — Report of an unwanted person at the Clinical and Support Options facility on High Street where the supervisor says there is a female in a car in the parking lot who is refusing to get out of the car, and is refusing to speak to anybody; they would like an officer to come by and make her leave; an officer assisted CSO with the patient.
7:45 p.m. — Caller reports an involved male at Grader Lane stated he wanted to be six feet under; he was last seen outside a residence on High Street; the involved person was located at home and crisis services were advised.
9:02 p.m. — Traffic stop at Conway and Silver streets where the operator swerved into the opposite lane of travel; officer found no intoxication, the operator was trying to keep two dogs off his lap; he was advised.
9:42 p.m. — Unwanted person reported at Clinical and Support Options on High Street, where the supervisor said they would like an unwanted female removed from the property, she was taken to the hospital.
11:56 p.m. — Request that police check the welfare of a person at the Vehicle Inspection Station on Federal Street where he is sleeping under a tree; officers responded, and located the male laying by a tree; the male states he is “running away,” from the ARC program because they aren’t treating him nicely; the male wanted to talk to CSO, and he was transported to Baystate Franklin Medical Center.
12 p.m. — Caller from Country Club Lane reports someone entered his garage overnight, and items were moved around, but nothing appears to have been taken; officer called back, but no answer, and left a detailed message.
2:26 p.m. — Report of a tree down on Turner Falls Road, in the southbound lane, but no wires involved; officers assisted with traffic while the tree warden removed the tree.
2:28 p.m. — Report of a tree down just south of the police station, on Turners Falls Road, and officer found motorists were attempting to move the tree themselves; they were advised that responders would be en route, and advised them, for safety, for them, to exit the roadway; DPW and another officer were advised, and the officer was able to move the tree while on his way to another call on Turners Falls Road.
2:30 p.m. — Multiple calls received of a tree down near the railroad trestle on Federal Street, blocking both lanes, but no wires involved; officer and DPW advised; traffic can get by in the northbound lane but the tree is too large to be removed by manpower alone, and awaiting Mass Highway.
2:31 p.m. — Report of tree down on Spring Street in area of the underpass, no wires, and DPW was advised, all police units are tied up at this time. DPW later reports the tree has been taken care of, and the road is clear.
2:58 p.m. — A 911 caller reports a small tree on wires on Mormon Hollow Road and wires run across the road, and are being weighed down, but aren’t touching the road at this time; Turners Falls Fire Department, officer, and Eversource were notified; however Eversource couldn’t give an ETA time, and later the DPW requested barricades for that location as Eversource still wasn’t able to provide an ETA at 4:45 p.m..
6:29 p.m. — Caller from Route 47 on Sunderland Road reporting a past accident when a tree limb came down in traffic, and struck the windshield of his jeep; officer spoke to the reporting person, and will be checking where the accident happened; limbs were still in the road, and were removed.
7:30 p.m. — Officers on Avenue A to serve a warrant; arrested was Sequawn Shamik Smith, 31, of Springfield, on the default warrant.
9:26 p.m. — While on another call, an officer requested a second unit for one male in custody; arrested was Dennis A. Arsenault Jr., 40, of East Street, Northfield, on a default warrant.
10:48 p.m. — 911 caller reports vandalism on Fourth Street from where the caller says her apartment window was just smashed out; the caller didn’t see who may have done this, but stated there is a group of teens outside, though not sure if they were involved; she was advised not to touch anything, for her safety; the reporting person advised that after the window was smashed, there was a female who was calling to her, asking her to come out of the apartment, she didn’t know this person and didn’t go outside; officer now out with another officer on Fourth Street, to an alternate person of interest, but then cleared and were unable to locate.
12:59 a.m. — Officer on Veterans Memorial Mall on Main Street, and advised Pokémon Go players, regarding smoking ban at that location.
1:26 a.m. — Caller reporting a fight/argument on Elm Street; officers responded and determined it to be a fight between an ex, and current boyfriends, of a female; mutual simple assault and battery between two men over a female.
2:59 a.m. — Large group of people at the Garden Cinema on Main Street; officer determined some type of movie is being filmed at this location.
4:01 a.m. — Report of a male and female having a verbal argument on Wells Street; officers responded, and a male answered the door but was groggy and undressed, and stated that officers woke him up with the knocking; officer confirmed the male and female were the only ones present and the male denies hearing any yelling; the female refused to speak further with the officers, and assured that there were no injuries to either person, and not wanted on the scene.
8:42 a.m. — Report of a breaking and entering, on Washington Street with the walk in reporting someone entered his home overnight and took his wallet, and a jar of change; officer spoke with the reporting person.
8:51 a.m. — Accident in the Hope Street parking lot, two vehicles, minor damage, and no injuries reported, officer facilitated the paper exchange.
5:34 a.m. — Male caller from H Street requests officer to his residence for an unwanted female; officers sent, and the caller then advises the female has left on her own.
