Korea, The Forgotten War, has been over for 63 years, and still it is “forgotten.” There has nothing been said for the last 63 years about anything other than how Kim Jong-un is dabbling in nukes. Here are some facts about the last 63 years:

From 1954 to 1992, there have been 3,693 North Korean agents who infiltrated South Korea. Since 1953, the North violated the armistice 221 times, including 26 military attacks.

There have been deaths of 97 from the U. S., 547 ROC troops, and 536 North Koreans, the last being in January 2016. Only in 2001 did troops start getting “Hazardous Duty Pay.”

I was there in 1956, stationed on the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) at Freedom Bridge at 19 years old. Kim Jong-un was rumored by the Chinese Twitter line to have been assassinated on Feb. 10, 2012.

You’d think that would be news, but again it was the “Forgotten War.”

With July 27, 2016, commemorating the (63rd anniversary of the) end of the Korean Conflict/Police Action, I think these facts should be made clear.
