ASHFIELD — St. John’s church in Ashfield invites the community to a picnic and cook-out Thursday, July 7, at 6 p.m., at “The Corner” parish house, opposite the church at 469 Main St. Food for the grill and some beverages will be provided; contributions of salads, chips, desserts and drinks are welcome. About 7 p.m., the cook-out will move inside to watch an hour-long documentary, “Discovering Dominga,” which tells about the villages in Guatemala served by the medical mission and both Bob Harris and Thomas Kreek serve in. NORTHFIELD — Trinitarian Congregational Church will continue its third-Saturday “New Day” casual worship service on July 16, from 4:30 to 5:15 p.m. Rev. Julie Olmsted, pastor of Trinitarian Congregational Church, and her husband, Jeff Olmsted, will lead the service.
