Just Roots in Greenfield offers educational programming on the farm, in schools and in the community. Just Roots is committed to building confidence in your ability to grow and preserve food and to increasing resilience in your life through educational experiences centered around agriculture. Its educational programming is designed to offer something for everyone and to meet the needs of all ages, interests and experience levels.
Community workshops are on a pay-what-you-can basis, with an average donation of $10. Online registration is requested but not required. Drop-ins are most welcome.

Berkshire East and The Recorder are partnering for the first annual Franklin County Beer Fest on Saturday, July 16, at Berkshire East Mountain Resort. The fest will feature beer from several local breweries, local hard ciders and local mead and libations.
There will be music, food and drink. The fest begins at noon and runs until 5 p.m.
Buy your tickets — $25 per person in advance and $30 at the door. If you buy your tickets online before July 1, you will receive a souvenir glass, ID will be required.

Dave Houghton will provide music from noon to 2 p.m. and from 2 to 5 p.m. Shokazoba will provide the music.
