On behalf of the Franklin County Community Meals Program, we want to thank everyone for helping us fulfill our mission of working with the community to alleviate hunger. We are humble and grateful for several recent events that show community support for what FCCMP does:

FCCMP’s Orange Food Pantry received 2,800 pounds of food and cash donations during the May 17 Food-athon held in Orange and Athol;

FCCMP received 1,008 pounds of food from Strangers Helping Strangers at the recent Wormtown Music Festival at Camp Kee-wanee;

FCCMP received 500 bagged lunches from Girl Scout Troop 11580 for distribution through our Greenfield meal site and a pledge for another 100;

FCCMP received 560 bagged lunches on June 5 as part of our Brown Bag Brigade — the community supported initiative of bagged lunches distributed through our Greenfield meal site and another 200 lunches have been pledged.

Neighbors nourishing neighbors — that’s our motto — and we thank the local community for their help and support!
