GREENFIELD — A three-car collision near the Federal and Stanley streets intersection Thursday afternoon caused one person to be injured and two vehicles to be towed.

The accident was reported at 12:42 p.m. It had been reported that no one was injured; however, when the Greenfield Fire Department arrived, responders recommended that one person be transported to the Baystate Franklin Medical Center.

One of the drivers was cited for following another vehicle two closely. The vehicles involved were a 2003 brown Buick, a 2010 red Volkswagen Jetta, and a 2005 gray Honda Civic. Two of the cars were towed by Goly’s Garage.
