I am a 17-year-old junior at Pioneer in Northfield. I am writing this letter in support of our WONDERFUL principal, Mr. Duprey. I don’t like the changes that have been occurring at school and, to be honest, I am truly worried. I mean, first Mr. Wherli and NOW Mr. Duprey? What gives? I’m extremely worried for the reputation of our school. I was at the School Committee meeting the other night and it was one of the most tense, terrifying events I’ve ever experienced in my life. Now, I don’t know what, but there is something weird going on at school and I don’t like it, nor will I accept it! This is not the Pioneer I’ve grown to love the past four-plus years. I don’t know what can be done exactly to fix the problem, but I do know some action has to happen. I know me and my peers will do whatever to try and convince Mr. Duprey to stay. Mr. Duprey does not want to leave. This is a man who lives and breathes Pioneer. I mean his license plate says “PVRS” on it and he also has a Pioneer tattoo! If Mr. Duprey wants to leave, then something must be really up. I only hope the School Committee takes some action!

JULIA DUPREY
