5:17 a.m. — Welfare check at CVS on Federal Street where the reporting person states he was delivering newspapers to the pharmacy, and a strange woman with short hair, fake tattoos on the face and carrying a guitar case, was acting strangely, and jumped out in front of his car; officer located the female which was the same female from Swift Cleaners on the previous morning; she said she was looking for a way to get something to eat because she hasn’t eaten in days, and began to cry and informed the officer she had a rough home life; the officer advised he could put her in touch with services if she wanted; she declined and stated she would be moving to Vermont; the officer gave her money to get food and water.
6:55 a.m. — Disturbance at Federal and Silver streets where the staff of a business there requested removal of a disruptive female, with black and orange jacket, black hat, short blonde hair, and was wearing goggles; officers arrived, and she was moved along.
12:03 a.m. — Caller from Main Street in Montague Center where the male 911 caller reported a possible chimney fire at his home, and reported heavy smoke and roaring sound from the chimney; no smoke or fire extension into the building; Shelburne Control was advised for Montague Center Fire Department, officer advised; Fire Department on the scene and handling.
2:18 a.m. — Female caller from the F. L. Roberts gas station/store on Third Street where the clerk requests officers for a male who is threatening customers and being belligerent; he has been in two times, and just left out front, and crossed the street; the clerk requests he not come back to the store; officers then out with the male on Third Street and gave him a courtesy ride to his home on K Street.
1 a.m. — Motor vehicle violation on East River Street for marked lanes violation, and investigation leads to arrest of Shawn Lee Richard, 46, of North Main Street, Orange, charged with marked lanes violation, negligent operation of a motor vehicle, operating under the influence of liquor, second offense and possessing an open container of alcohol in a motor vehicle.
2:05 a.m. — Control took a call from East Main Street reporting there was a male, wearing a black jacket, who fell down, and is bleeding from the face; the reporting person reported the male went into Cumberland Farms; officer spoke with the clerk there who said no one matching the description had been in there; officers spoke with a man who said he saw the male walking eastbound; officers checked the area along with state police, and were not able to locate the male.
12:15 p.m. — Control advised a person on Battle Street would like to speak with an officer about a threatening message he received from his son; officer spoke with the reporting person and advised him of options; a message was left on the son’s cell phone advising him to contact the officer.
12:37 p.m. — Department of Children and Families is looking for an officer to respond to an East River Street location, as a known male isn’t supposed to be there with the children; on arrival the officer found the male was alone with the children; DCF was notified and they responded to the scene where two children were removed.
4 p.m. — Caller from Mechanic Street reports his son just saw a known person on the property and believes he attempted to open the garage; on arrival, the officer spoke with the male who claims he cuts through the yard, but never attempted to gain entry into the garage; he will no longer trespass on the property.
4:57 p.m. — Control reports the Fire Department is responding to an East Myrtle Street resident; on officer’s arrival the Fire Department reported they were all set.
7:25 p.m. — Control reports a caller from Canon Lane said a person in a dark color car, with Florida plates, that just took pictures of his house; when he went to speak with the female, she drove away northward; area checked with negative results.
7:50 p.m. — Caller from West Main Street wanted it logged that he came home today to find all the locks were changed; he reports the house is in the foreclosure process, but he still lives there and all of his property is inside; he will speak with his attorney tomorrow.
10:52 p.m. — Control reports management of a motel on Daniel Shays Highway wants an officer regarding an issue with a customer; both units responded, and found there were about seven to ten people in the room, which is against policy; customer was advised that all his guests will have to leave or he wouldn’t be able to stay at the motel for the evening; the situation was discussed, and all the people left.
1:13 p. m. — Hazard reported at Conway and Silver streets where the caller reported a tree limb on wires; Eversource was advised.
1:31 p. m. — Welfare check requested on Conway Street; officer found it all ok, but had checked the house after hearing what seemed to be a medical alert, and a TV left on; no one inside, but discovered the alert tone was an automatic medication dispenser; the subject person came home as we were exiting house, the situation was explained to her, and she will leave a note next time for the Meals on Wheels program driver.
3:02 p. m. — Caller from the Weldon House on High Street, where a person is a tenant in dispute about bed bugs, and treatments being done for them; the situation was discussed with officers.
4:02 p. m. — Caller from Union Street reports he was assaulted by another male; officer sent, and then requested Medcare to the scene; as per a sober witness, he said one male was yelling at another male, stating he was going to kill him, and calling him names and the person doing the yelling admitted to calling the victim names; in retaliation, the second male punched the male doing the yelling, on the left side of the face, with a closed fist, giving the yelling male a small laceration over his left eye, but he refused transport from Medcare, and officer was unable to locate the victim at this time.
7:05 p. m. — Officers on Colrain Street to serve a warrant; arrested was Richard J. Duff, 25, of Colrain Street, Greenfield, on the warrant.
7:14 p. m. — Caller advises there is an open door on the Conway Street side of the Academy of Early Learning on Place Terrace; officer secured the door/hatch with a boulder, and a message left for the key holders on file.
8:16 p. m. — Officers on Montague City Road to serve a warrant; arrested was Kyle T. LaBelle, 22, of Montague City Road, Greenfield, on the warrant.
8:59 p. m. — Malicious destruction of property, reported at the Miles Street Hotel apartments where the reporting person said his bicycle tire was slashed at this location; report issued.
10:52 p. m. – Caller from Elm Street states that her partner wouldn’t let her back into the apartment, but unknown the reason why; officer spoke to both people, and both are very tired; situation discussed, to a conclusion.
