ORANGE — A man and woman from Orange each face multiple charges after police say they stole four credit cards, a driver’s license, laundromat tokens and other cards from the Orange Innovation Center.
Stacey L. Lawrence, of 419 East River St., and Keith S. Allen, homeless, can be seen on surveillance recordings inside the OIC on May 25 and are accused of stealing the items from inside the building as well as a package placed outside, according to a report by Orange Police Officer Jonathan Cole. Both suspects were arraigned in Orange District Court on Friday.
Lawrence faces three counts of larceny of a credit card, four counts of larceny under $250, one count of credit card fraud over $250, and a count of conspiracy. Allen faces three counts of larceny of a credit card, four counts of larceny under $250, one count of possession of a Class C drug, one count of credit card fraud over $250, and a count of conspiracy.
Allen, held on $2,500 cash bail, has a pretrial conference scheduled for June 20. Lawrence is held on $1,500 cash bail and has a pretrial conference slated for July 1.
OIC Development Director Brianna Drohen said security and safety are top priorities in the business incubator.
